fkn mustangs

trannys been iffy still....
dont really race too many people anymore cuz of the tranny... but kept up w/ my friends 2000something cobra mustang w/ intake and exhaust, woulda blown past him if tranny wasn't lame.
prob putting the car away for winter soon. then i get to begin all the headaches again yayyyy...
had a friend look @ my car and gave advise about ducting getting more air flow... sound confident about that. just gotta get mola...

first lost.

hwy tonite...
whooped up on some more stuff... but lost to one car... an evo. cuz my trannys a piece of shit. oh well im not gonna be the one to make up excuses.

raced...
turbo red integra.. he then got on to the freeway and we joked about him coming back to hwy @ the north end to get away from us... and sure enough we got to the north end and there he is... he then put his hood up and hand by his face... really. lol
cant really remember anything else, but ik there were some more.
ooo raced a new challanger like last week... yep.

lost to...
a black evo. i was keepin up w/ him till my tranny was like hey lets bounce off the rev limiter and not make anymore power lol.
saw this guy derek who is a total lie and then he flicked me off and i told him to roll down his window and he did then i said whyd u flick me off and he rolled it back up and drove off... long story w/ him but he sucks @ life

fires suck

so i took the coupe to a friends house for a bonfire...
lets just say that fire didn't want to start. lol.
but a girl sam wanted a 'tour' of my car...
then she asked for a ride.
and loved it. 'omg its so fast' she said.
i hope the weekend isn't all rainy.... i wanna drive my car some more before it either gets the new tranny or winter happens...
i think i want a single more... idk.. i dont cuz its money and cuz i wanna be done putting money into the coupe for a while... but idkkkkkkk grrrrrrrrrrr.

your bfs car is slow.

so... the coupes been done and tuned (kinda) for a monthish now?
i should know the date is was done but i cant remember lol.
anyways... i decided i wanted to write down all the cars i beat (or lose too hahah thats funny)
so well the first week i had it out i raced...
a turbo sentra...
a 240 which was stock and just for fun...
modded eagle talon (where his gf was laughing @ him once he lost)
then the other weeks blend into one...
beat a modded srt4... (which is gf thought iwas funny as well)
v8 ranger w/ a cam (he said this "dont mess with me im just a v8 with a cam, what did i ever do to you?" it was funny.)
idk there were prob some others but idk.
which is pretty good seeing as my trannys on its way out... bounces off the revv limiter .. no reverse...
and my turbos are bad.. seals are bad i believe, smokes alot on decel.
so thats what i get to look into over winter...
and also an oil cooler, oil catch can, brakes, other little things.

almost done, i hope

cars almost done. i hope.
@ aspec still... tues they were gonna tune/dyno it but ran into a little problem, but the horsepower it had by like 4-5 rpm was awesome :) cant wait till its fixed and they can run a complete run on it and get the exact HP it has.
hopefully it is done friday, if they dont run into any other problems, hopefully the fans keep it from running past 220... we will see.
Friday Night Lights is on friday night.. let me just tell you that it is SOO much better than any night on hwy 100.

road america

so.. i've been determined to get my car to road america this year, first i wanted to make it to the mfba event in march.. but there was no way my car was gonna be done then. so i decided im going to the oct 3rd event. we have a few friends that work there and such, and one said all the things you need to have or dont have in order to run your car.
a helmet needed - (bought one a few weeks ago (hjc, black w/ a lizmo sticker on it duh lol)
no leaks - @ the moment my power steering rack and line leaks... so i either have to replace it (tried fixing it w/ that magical tape which didn't work) or disconnect it and just run a diff serp belt... which is what im leading to cuz its cheaper for right now.
and i think that was all i had to do in order to run my car.
except pay, which i think i will be able to afford it :)
so look for me!
plus my car should be out of aspecs space this friday or monday, they just gotta dyno it which we said we wanted to be there for it so its goin down fri or monday... ill post up a video somewhere most likely

the daily i6

everyone needs a daily driver... mine is a lexus sc300. i had a 91 240sx hatch as a daily and decided i was sick of it... and i found the sc and it was very clean and cheap so i had to pick it up.
its stock as a rock. thats about it.

car was bubbling!!

so we decided to take the coupe for a little drive today... as always, except i didn't get on it as much as i usually do.
so some background info...
i was driving the coupe on my bday june 23rd yeah remember that day it was like 101 degrees... well i didnt have a hood on it due to the fact the hood didnt fit cuz the motor is gigantic... so the coolant siteglass (made of plastic) broke... not sure if it was too hot or a rock or something hit it and broke it.... got it towed home. ((car never overheated))
bought a water temp gauge because we weren't sure if the stock 240sx gauge was working... car has been heating up to 210 to 220 was the highest it was. so whenever it got that high, id pull over and take a break. always worked....
then today we decided to drive around the block and see if it climbd anymore, it did MAYBE one degress... but when we got back to nick's... we heard the coolant bubbling... plus i put water wetter in the coolant.. you would think that would help..
i think it runs hot cuz 1. its got 550cc injectors instead of 440cc and we haven't tuned it, and 2. its only running on 7-8psi when stock ecu is used to 12psi...
so hopefully thats all and when it gets tuned and all the tweeks fixed... itll be fine.
plus i ordered 1inch hood spacers ((ik it looks gay but if it prevents my car from overheating im all for it))

1st post

hey. this is my first post, obviously... im gonna designate this blog to all about my car!! (i already have a livejornal where i SOMETIMES update it)

my car is a 1993 nissan 240sx with a 2jz-gte swap in it.

its an auto, WHY? b/c i had an auto jetta-vr6 that was auto for about 4 years and i was sooo sick of everyone and their mother saying 'autos are slow and stupid, so after i realized volkswagens suck and break too much, i decided to build this.

it can get out of its own way :)

it was finally on the road about 2 months, and before that it was in the barn (where it go worked on) for about 8-9 months, long winter ey.

the exhaust was put on today, no more open downpipe, it was tricky to get it all together, bc the 2jz's exhaust comes out the passanger side, where the 240's exhaust comes out the drivers side, so we had to make a midpipe to connect the two.
it will be going to SP to finish up some things, such as tuning the car (getting too much fuel due to the 550cc injectors, 100cc more than the stock JDM motors have.) and they are gonna hook up a wideband, afc neo, and dyno it.
